  • What is AAF Augusta?

  • AAF Augusta is a local affiliate of the American Advertising Federation (AAF). The AAF, headquartered in Washington, D.C., acts as the “Unifying Voice for Advertising.” The AAF is the oldest national advertising trade association, representing 40,000 professionals in the advertising industry. The AAF has a national network of over 200 clubs located in ad communities across the country. The AAF also has nearly 100 blue-chip corporate members that are advertisers, agencies and media companies, comprising the nation’s leading brands and corporations.

    OUR MISSION

    The purpose of this organization shall be to promote greater effectiveness in the use of advertising as an instrument of mass communications, to foster higher standards in advertising and selling, to expand recognition of advertising and public relations as an essential tool of business, to cultivate a better understanding of the economic and social value of advertising to the consuming public, to encourage and support advertising and public relations education, and to render professional services to the community.

    AMERICAN ADVERTISING AWARDS

    The American Advertising Awards, formerly the ADDYs, is the advertising industry’s largest and most representative competition, attracting over 40,000 entries every year in local AAF club competitions. This competition recognizes and rewards the creative spirit of excellence in the art of advertising. The local phase is the first of a three-tier, national competition. Concurrently, all across the country, local entrants vie to win ADDY Awards – recognition as the very best in their markets. 

    Creative Roundtable

    Open to anyone interested in advertising and design in the Augusta community, this FREE, loosely-moderated forum is an outlet in which creatives in the advertising industry can swap stories, share insights and offer solutions to problems.
